State Relay Gold!! - Mens 50+ 4 x 1500m

Waverley entered a M50+ 4×1500 team in the Vic relay champs at Doncaster this weekend.

In hot windy conditions our team of Tim Stickley, Ernie Lim, Martin Spiteri and Craig Sanford took on the night of Box Hill, Mornington Peninsula, Bendigo and Ballarat.

Peninsula had a very strong team with 4 runners capable of running under 5 minutes including Richard Dawe who has run even faster than Craig this season.

Peninsula led by a long way for most of the 15 laps until Craig moved up to Richard’s shoulder with 100m to go and from there, as good as Richard is, he was no match for our Craig. Waverley winning by just over 1 second. Congratulations Tim, Ernie, Martin and Craig on a fantastic win.

That makes it back to back wins for our M50+ 4×1500 team. Awesome work.
